A Much-Needed Lift at Annabella Lashes, Old Saybrook

I imagine that you all think I spend my life getting facials and massages, but it’s simply not true. Self-care is not my priority. I can barely sit still through a haircut (just ask Tim Pamment). It’s generally my sidekick Laura getting buffed and polished and writing about it! BUT, when I heard that the little house across from Rosemary and Sage in Old Saybrook had a new eyelash and brow studio, I decided it was high time to give it a go. Over the years, my eyelashes have turned to stubs and my brows are exactly half as long (and as full) as they used to be. I tried lash extensions once, and it was too much upkeep for me. My mission was to see if my baby lashes would respond to a lift.

The salon is fresh and airy with a youthful vibe. Tehah led me to a cozy room downstairs, and as I lay down on the heated mat, I decided no matter the outcome, a half hour or so resting my tortured back (yup, surgery on the horizon) on a warm puffy bed was well worth it.

I’m not exactly sure what the process is besides some very delicate application of tape and tincture, but half an hour or so later, I had LASHES! I’m not ready for a closeup, but believe me when I say they look better than a good crimp with a curler and a massive amount of mascara. (Tehah also gave them a tint). I love the idea of skipping that routine for the next 4 to 6 weeks, and this just could be one treatment I add to my limited beauty routine!
