Ani’s Table & Marketplace: A Culinary Treasure

Last week, while traveling on 91 North, we happily veered off the highway to visit Ani’s Table & Marketplace. Located in a former family-owned ravioli shop 397 Cromwell Avenue in Rocky Hill is an easy on-and-off and proved well worth it.
After decades of cooking as both a Head Chef and in top kitchens with notable chefs around the country, Ani Robaina has been gracing the Shoreline with her talents since 2020. This French Culinary Institute-trained chef and Shoreline resident wows us with her culinary expertise and artistic touch in her well-rounded business that includes cooking classes, private in-house cheffing, and event catering of all sizes and now this dazzling, one-stop market.
We noshed on Orange Ricotta cookies and sipped coffee (Chef Ani’s proprietary espresso blends, roasted by CT’s Shearwater Coffee Company) from the bar. The shelves are stocked with all manner of pantry delights including salt, oil, honey, vinegar and so much more. We found a collection of carefully wrapped Pannetone flavored with Limoncello and Tiramasu – a perfect gift for all your foodie friends! Fresh-made offerings like Eggplant Torte, Pesto Pasta Salad, Roasted Veggies (Cippolini Onions and Italian Peppers!) fill the case in the deli. Bring home handmade pasta (Ravioli!) and Bolognese, Marinara, and lots of more from the Grab-and-Go coolers. This shop is a treasure! And we will be making the drive again and again.
