Classic Italian Cocktails Slung From A Bus Turned Bar at Bufalina
Just when we thought Bufalina, continuously firing up outstanding pies in its tiny red house, could not get more charming, it’s happened!
The vintage, turquoise VW bus-turned-bar parked on the back patio caught our eye, so we had to go and see for ourselves what it was all about. We got straight to ordering cocktails from the dolled-up van as soon as we arrived. There’s no better way to wait for your pizza than to sip a Negroni and some Pellegrino among the beds of fresh herbs and watch as peepers pull off of Route 1 just to snap a shot of this beyond Instagram-worthy scene. My perfect Negroni Bianco was made from Junipero Gin, Suze, Dolin Blanc Vermouth with a twist of orange. We ordered what may be my most favorite pie yet, Broccoli, made with roasted baby broccoli florets, garlic-Calabrian chili confit topped with mozzarella, and parmesan. We can never leave this place without a classic Margarita pie – Mozzarella, Scamorza, San Marzanos, and a basil drizzle. Local culinary genius and neighbor, Hen + Heifer, supplies seasonal desserts. We saved room for an exquisite Fun-Fetti ice cream sandwich. Ask for the specials and try their salads and small plates, too. Just go!
