It’s barely Halloween (my least favorite holiday), and I’m already dreaming about Thanksgiving (my very favorite). I know turkey is the main event, but I’m all about the side dishes–Brussels sprouts with shallots and pancetta, challah and chestnut stuffing (recipe here) and yes, sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping (my family hates it, but who cares?). Nothing like Crate and Barrel’s massive inventory of white casseroles, souffles, ramekins and cake stands to get me all worked up. $2.50 to $29.95. Can’t beat it.
