There’s so much to love about MW Coastal Goods in Noank. Located on the docks of the Noank Shipyard (a stone’s throw from Abbott’s and Costello’s), this gem of a boutique is carefully stocked with a slew of New Englandy gifts. Former art teacher, Wendy Hille and her husband Mike transformed an old boat repair shop into a nautical goods showroom. Its clean, whitewash and teak aesthetic hooked us in the moment we stepped into the airy space. The shelves are neatly stocked with fresh products from monogrammed tumblers to Turkish towels. Candles and gluten-free, cruelty-free, vegan body lotions from Farm + Sea (Massachusetts), salt from Newport Sea Salt Company, BBQ sauce made by Zach Murray/MVY FLAVORS (based off the recipe from Sea Smoke in MV) are all represented in this unique spread.

Perhaps the best part about this operation, though, is Port & Parcel, Wendy’s personalized, ready-to-give gift business. Choose from preselected arrangements in a variety of themes to celebrate corporate events, weddings, showers, and any special occasion. Shop on the website here, head to the shop in person or simply call Wendy and she will Facetime with you throughout the store to customize your box. Choose your own vessel – wooden dough bowls, burlap bags, woven baskets, and gift boxes of all sizes. Wendy can personalize most of her products including dog bowls, pillows, and bags. Bespoke serving trays, made from one’s sentimental sails are another thoughtful creation offered (see below). She’ll work within your budget, brainstorm ideas for you, run out for a bottle of wine to add to the box, and ship it all for you.
