“Looped” by Mathew Lombardo is a play based on an audio recording of an actual event in 1965, when Talullah Bankhead had to re-record just one line from her last film, “Die, Die my Darling”.
What should have been a five-minute session took eight hours. This play is both wildly hilarious and genuinely touching. It is Talullah at her raucous best. The show opens on June 23rd at the Drama Works Theatre, 323 Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook and runs the 24th, 25th, 30th and July 1st.
Tickets are available online at dramaworkstheatre.org.
