Indigo Blooms, A Flower Farm in Killingworth

Flower farms are proliferating in CT and we’re all for it. I was mesmerized with Indigo Blooms on Instagram, and the other day I headed up to Killingworth to meet Lindsey and check it out for myself. Her loose and natural arrangements are just what we’re seeking this time of year (especially for those of us who don’t speak the language of flowers). She grows most of her blooms at her farm and adds to her inventory from the recently established Connecticut Flower Collective. The Collective is a wholesale-only group of farmers who banded together to create a fresh-cut local flower market, increasing the availability and diversity to florists and farms.

You can call ahead for a bouquet or sign up for a subscription and pick up your $30, $50, or $75 arrangement. Lindsey also offers florals for weddings and events. Beginning September 4th, you can find her bouquets at her flower stand in Killingworth for grab-and-go on Saturdays and Sundays at 18 Warwickshire Drive, from 10am to 6pm.

Keep an eye on her website for fall wreath workshops (they fill up fast).
