While browsing my favorite home decor website, Remodelista, I stumbled on this table. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that it was designed by local Centerbrook architect, Mark Simon, and sold exclusively at Lori Warner Gallery in Chester.

Available by special order in six wood finishes and custom sizes, the award-winning Slapstick Table is simple without being austere, a modern iteration of a classic farm table. Par Turesson, another artisan represented by Lori, constructs his tables from reclaimed oak beams sourced in Brooklyn, CT and treats each handcrafted table with pickling stain and three coats of lacquer.  Simply gorgeous.
