Los Charros is BACK!
We were bereft to hear that Los Charros had suffered a terrible flood from burst pipes during that crazy winter storm, but stunned that they have already managed to reopen! After two years of Covid, this was some horrendous luck. To show our support, we raced right over. I am a fan of the tacos, fajitas, and pretty much all the Mexican specialties (who doesn’t love Queso??), but what you may not know is their burger is my favorite on the Shoreline! Styled after an In and Out, it’s a thin Wagyu patty (I am NOT a fan of a giant mouthful of ground meat), dressed with ancho aioli, pickled jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, and cheese on a delish sesame seed bun. And, yes, you’ll get a mountain of fries on the side. The last burger I ate was summer 2021, so I gleefully savored this one. The dish comes as a double, but I always ask for a single patty, and they accommodate me (I hope I’m not getting anyone in trouble!). Add on the marg of the day, and it’s one happy dinner.
