Recollective, An Antique & Vintage Market, Opens in Bridgeport
We were disappointed to learn that Monger’s Market, the sprawling antique, vintage, and salvage multi-vendor warehouse, had closed, but cheered to find out a new one had opened just down the street. Recollective may be smaller and missing those endless salvage aisles, but it brims with quirky vintage finds, furniture with stories to tell, and oddball decorative pieces that kept us happily exploring for hours last Sunday. Even though I, like so many, truly need nothing, I still left with a perfectly aged black-framed mirror ($40!), a cheeky tourist tee for my daughter, a Cacharel silk scarf ($20!), and a handful of vintage Matchbox cars for a gift. Annie scored with a beautiful, cropped plaid wool jacket and a denim shirt that struck the perfect balance of worn-in comfort. There’s lots to tempt all manner of collector, but if curated vintage clothing is your thing, this place is a must-visit.
Sundays only, 10 am to 4 pm
$5 entry
