I’m not sure how Nora Murphy’s 32,000 Instagram followers will squeeze into her tiny gem of a shop in Chester, but I’m glad I got there first! Renowned for her country-house style (yup, she wrote the book), her brand new store is packed (literally) to the rafters with painted tables, wicker chairs, vintage baskets, oversize lamps, perfectly worn old linens, and all manner of decor to easily add a touch of cozy style to your home.

I snapped up an antique wicker bottle carrier and a wee watercolor of an old beach cottage. It was hard to pass up the white pack basket, but I don’t have a spot for it. My dad used a similar one to tote my little sister on mountain climbs in New Hampshire. The assemblage of goods will make you nostalgic, too, for long summer lunches and evenings on the porch. Whether country is your go-to or not, you’ll find plenty of treasures here.
