71st Annual Stonington Village Fair, 8/5,10-4pm, The Village Fair is one of the largest annual events in the Stonington Borough and features children’s games and prizes, an obstacle course, 40+ local artists in the Artisan Row, live musical performances, and food from Woodfellas Pizza and Captain Scott’s food trucks.

North Branford Potato and Corn Festival 2023, 8/6, 11-5pm, Celebrate a 21st year of an admission-free, fun-filled, family event with food, free contests and games, rides and amusements, a craft and business expo, a petting zoo, and entertainment of all kinds throughout the weekend.

Branford Town Center Summer Sidewalk Sale, 8/10-8/12, 11am-5pm, Branford’s boutiques, restaurants and galleries present the Annual Summer Sidewalk Sale.

The 6th Annual Hey Stamford! Food Festival, 8/11-8/13 and 8/18-8/20, The TWO weekend, 6th Annual Food Festival will feature a Food Truck Frenzy, CT’s Ultimate Pizza Party, a Taylor Swift Dance Party, Reality TV Star, Live Music and more!

Mystic Outdoor Art Festival, 8/12 (10-6pm), 8/13 (10-5pm), The festival showcases over 200 artists from around the United States, with more than two miles of arts and crafts including oils, watercolors, photographs, pastels, sculpture, woodwork, comics, acrylics, and more. A free event that features activities and artwork for all ages to enjoy, including a Children’s Art Park located in the Mystic Seaport Shipyard.

17th Shoreline Jewish Festival On the Guilford Green, 8/13, 12-5pm, Celebrate a weekend of music from around the world, delicious kosher fair favorites, inflatable slides, an obstacle course and a variety of themed arts and crafts projects and items for purchase.

Traditional Clam Bake & Lobster Boil on the Beach, 8/16, 6-8pm, Gather your friends and family for a classic lobster boil and clam bake on the shores of the Long Island Sound at Madison Beach Hotel.

Hamburg Fair, 8/18 (5pm-10:30pm), 8/19 (9-10:30pm), 8/20 (9-5pm), A family-friendly fair showcases many agricultural fair traditions while highlighting top local music talent and entertainment, carnival rides, food concessions, entries and exhibits for farm, animal, crafts, fruits, vegetables and more.

Deep River Annual Outdoor Flea Market, 8/19, 8am-2pm, It’s time for the Deep River Congregational Church Annual August Flea Market. Reserve your space!

49th Annual Milford Oyster Festival, 8/19, 10am-6pm,The Milford Oyster Festival will have 30,000 oysters! Try the sweet taste of Milford oysters and enjoy them with a favorite beverage. The festival will feature a car show, live music,  a kayak and canoe race and an oyster shucking and eating contest and plenty of activities for the kids.

2023 Clinton Summerfest & Fireworks, 8/26, 4-8pm, Fireworks 9pm, Enjoy an evening of food, fun, a beer garden, music, and fireworks.

Saybrook Point 5k Road Race, 8/26, 8:30-10am, Runners, walkers, and joggers are welcome to participate in the 14th Annual Saybrook Point 5k Road Race!

Summer Festival of Arts & Antiques, 8/26, 9-4pm, Join the Madison Historical Society at their Summer Festival of Arts and Antiques for a festival atmosphere with a variety of engaging summertime activities.

Open Air Market & Festival at the Wadsworth Mansion, 8/27, 10-4pm, The historic Mansion will transform into a marketplace and festival where one can stroll from tent to tent to purchase fresh produce, fruit, cheese, breads and prepared foods and appreciate and purchase the work of local artisans, listen to live music and experience the family-friendly open-air market.

Lyme Art Association Presents Hudson Valley Art Association Show & New Haven Paint & Clay Club’s Select Artists Exhibit 2023, thru 8/10, Lyme Art Association welcomes back the Hudson Valley Art Association (HVAA) for their ”90th Annual National Juried Exhibition.” and the New Haven Paint & Clay Club’s “Select Artists Exhibit 2023″.

Fire Fighter Festival at Mystic Seaport Museum, 8/26, 10-5pm, In partnership with Mystic Fire Department and Fireboat Fire Fighter Museum the festival includes demonstrations, displays, first-response boats, vehicles and more. All first responders will receive free admission to the event.

Goodspeed and Terris Theatre Summer Season 2023thru 8/27, Goodspeed presents, “Summer Stock thru 8/27, A brand new, feel good musical comedy inspired by the classic Judy Garland-Gene Kelly movie. Terris Theatre presents, “Here You Come Again” thru 8/27, This rollicking new musical tells the story of a diehard fan whose imaginary version of Dolly Parton gets him through a trying time.

Outstanding in The Field at Stone Acres Farm, 8/29, 3pm, Get tickets for this not-to-be-missed event, taking place at Stone Acres featuring guest chef Renee Touponce. “Outstanding in the Field is a roving restaurant without walls.” Tickets and more info here.

Summer Nights at Stone Acres Farm thru 9/1, 5pm, “Summer Nights,” a farm inspired pop-up restaurant outside on the historic grounds of Stone Acres Farm. Each evening, the 85th Day Food Community presents a 4-course menu, inspired from the farm, and showcasing the very best of seasonal and local product and also offer fabulous wines, local beers and craft cocktails to accompany your meal. 

Walter Wick: Hidden Wonders! Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art, thru 9/3, Head to NBMAA to experience the magical world of Walter Wick famously known for his first children’s book series I SPY which established Wick as one of the most celebrated photographic illustrators of all time.

Free Admission for Kids at the Mystic Seaport Museum, thru 9/4, Free to Connecticut resident children ages 18 and younger plus one accompanying adult. The program provides children and families a chance to experience Mystic Seaport Museum and benefit from our programs, activities, and exhibits.

Alfresco Essex, thru 9/23, The fifth annual Alfresco Essex campaign is firing up on the summer solstice in June and running through autumnal equinox, this September. Experience Essex in all its open-air vibrancy!
