Win A Ticket to Love, Loss and What I Wore!

It drives me crazy when people say, “I should have thought of that” when referring to things like Post-It notes, iTunes, or paperclips. I mean, let’s not kid ourselves. I know I’ll never come up with a genius, millionaire-making idea. But when I read Love, Loss and What I Wore, I was a little peeved that I didn’t write it first, mainly because the events in my life are not nearly as memorable as what I wore to them. The confection of white lace at my cousin’s birthday party, ruined after a single wearing by an ill-timed nosebleed. My sister and I, in matching paisley nehru-collared dresses for the first day of first grade. A plaid maxi coat in fifth grade. The black leather jacket in high school that sent me into fits of buyer’s remorse. The string bikini my mother bought me that I was too scared to wear. My Diane von Furstenberg knock-off prom dress, many Marimekko shifts and hot pants ensembles, and the odd decision to wear my mother’s tweed Albert Nipon suit to her funeral.
So, I LOVED that little book and was dying to see the play (written by those brilliant Ephron sisters), but somehow missed it. I’m not missing it this time. It’s at The Ivoryton Playhouse AND it’s a benefit for some of my favorite charitable organizations. I bought 8 extra tickets to the Sunday, Feburary 23rd, 2pm matinee (to benefit Child and Family Agency) and I hope you’ll join me. All you have to do to enter to win a ticket is spread a little The E List love. Forward this week’s email (Be Mine) to your friends using the email icon at the top of the newsletter. Suggest they subscribe to The E List and you’ll be entered to win.
