Blues, Berries and Jam: The New Haven Green is home to 8 wonderful weeks of live music performances at this lunchtime summer concert series. Pull up a chair, pack a lunch or visit the CitySeed downtown Farmer’s market right across the street from the stage for fresh eats and then enjoy fresh beats!  Presented by the Town Green District, July 12th through August 30th from 12:00 to 1:30pm. Insomnia Theater and Mimosas & Movies at The Bow Tie Criterion Cinema: Can’t sleep? Check out Insomnia Theater! The first weekend of every month offers up some classics like Jaws on August 5th and 6th at 11:30pm. Mimosas and Movies are on the same dates but at 11:30 am. Craft Brew Races:  The Craft Brew Races returns to New Haven on August 5th.  Join up for a relaxed 5k run/walk followed by a craft beer festival featuring over 30 Connecticut breweries at Edgewood Park.  Find out more. 

 

Taste of New Haven, Wooster Square Tour: celebrate New Haven’s history and food through this tour of a variety of food venues  while walking through one of the city’s best preserved neighborhoods. Elm Shakespeare Company presents the 22nd Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park with Shakespeare’s iconic tale of doomed love, The Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet, directed by Raphael Massie. Performances run Aug 17 -Sep 3, Tues-Sun at 8pm.
