While those that know me would probably say I’m a nitpicky perfectionist, I’m hanging up the title for December. Because here’s my new mantra: Good enough is good enough. No agonizing over the perfect gift for each and every person on my list. When I see something I THINK they’ll like; I’ll stop there and pull out my credit card. Poring over thousands of photos for the holiday image that screams happy? I don’t think so. As a matter of fact, I’m not sending out cards this year (heads up, friends and family!). Dithering between social obligations? I’m just as likely to stay home. There are just too many decisions, major and minor, to be made every single day, and instead of obsessively seeking out the PERFECT solution, I’m going for good enough. And hoping for happier, calmer holidays because of it!
