Back to Work!

Things get a little loose around The E List during the summer but we go back to our regular schedule come September. To help me get back on track, I invest in a few new organizational tools to keep me and The E List team moving forward. Here are my favorites for fall.

1. Quirky is a company that gets stuff made from unknown inventors. Submit your idea and it might just come to fruition! The products they make solve a problem and are ALWAYS cool. This simple white charging station is keeping me and my fleet of gadgets charged up and ready to go without the unsightly tangle of cords. Love it!

2. I’m all about lightweight, nylon bags for schlepping my laptop wherever I go. But it’s hard to find a chic one. Here’s a goody made by Lo & Sons. The Brookline 15″ laptop bag features a chic navy exterior, silver or gold hardware (you choose!), brown handles and a lavender interior, with plenty of space for everything else you might need for your traveling office. Available in black, too, of course. $198.

3. YES is my business motto, so you know how excited I got over this bright white and shiny binder to get my editorial calendar together for 2016. Perfect for a little daily positive reinforcement. By Cynthia Rowley at Staples.

4. We’re pretty mad for Warby Parker glasses for a lots of good reasons. For every pair you buy, they donate a pair to a person in need, PLUS you can order up to five frames to try on at home. These crisp Keene frames in “beach glass” will help us get back down to business. $95 for single prescription, $295 for progressives.

5. I always order up a dozen or so of my favorite disposable fountain pen at the beginning of the year (or pick them up on the counter at Office Express in Old Lyme). It might just be in my head, but I think they help me write better!  Pilot Varsity Disposable Fountain Pens, Black Ink, Medium Point, Pack of 6

6. What’s better than a fresh September start with a new wall calendar? Etsy’s Redstar Ink has it down with this clean and simple, oversized version, with plenty of room for notes. $30. (Undated version available also).

7. Prefer to plan out six months at a time? The Mon Petit Bureau 6 Month Planner is your answer. The portable agenda is open-dated, so start your new system whenever you want. Plenty of room for planning your life down to the hour and adding a few sketches, too.

Disclosure:  A few of the  items on this page have affiliate links. If you happen to click or purchase them, The E List receives a teeny commission. But, as always, we only write about stuff that we really love.
