Fathom Heights: Wee Faerie Village at the Florence Griswold Museum

I spent a gorgeous fall afternoon wandering the Wee Faerie Village at the Flo Gris Museum. Most locals likely think this installation of 22 Faerie Houses sprinkled around the grounds of the Museum is mainly a kids’ attraction, but no! The day I was there, all ages ooohed and aaaahed over this year’s magical theme, Fathom Heights, the wonderful underwater world of the sea faeries. It’s an absolute don’t miss to see these imaginative artist-created dwellings, and strolling the campus beside the Lieutenant River offers a contemplative moment, especially during these trying times. The installation runs through October 29th, and I highly recommend a jaunt! Combine it with a scrumptious lunch at Cafe Flo, which stays open for the duration.
