Frosé Season
Chamard Vineyard is as close to Napa as you get around here, and whether you’re sipping on the deck or supping in the bistro, you won’t quite believe that you’re in a residential neighborhood in Clinton. The same skilled chef has been crafting delish bistro dishes since they opened and it’s a serene spot for lunch while gazing out at the vineyards and make pretend you’re anywhere but here. This time, however, I came not for the fabulous burger and fries, but the first frosé of the season! This version is a blend of prosecco and frozen red wine, but you can choose one or the other, too. Before the tourist hordes descend, sip a frosé for only $3.50 (!) during happy hour on Wednesday and Thursday from 4 – 6pm. Happy hours end before Memorial Day but check the schedule for live music every Friday and Saturday. Bistro opens at noon and stays open through dinner if that frosé finds you peckish.
