The Blocks suggested Williamsburg Blacksmiths wrought-iron barn hardware purchased at Saybrook Country Barn, and I was thrilled to find a relatively inexpensive version of sandcast bronze black doorknobs by Emtek there, too. Simple, four-light doors and transom windows were found at Ring’s End. The rustic antique beams that hold up the structure and provide architectural interest in the all-white office were unearthed at Pioneer Millworks. We are quite happy with Anne Penniman Associates driveway and landscape solutions (albeit we’ll be installing in stages).

Overly tortured by the sink and shower faucets (really WHY are there so many?), I copped out and bought the same ones I have in my master bath from Kohler at Cunningham Supply. Even the basic Toto toilet took two trips to Winnelson in Essex. The easiest decision was the floor and shower tile from Old Lyme Stone. I refused to allow myself to be tempted by the sheets of penny tile and tumbled marble: plain white hex for the floor and matte subway for the shower. But I think I should have gone with the glossy. Oh, well.
