Hi,
While adjectives like artisanal, handcrafted, locally-sourced and farm-to-table are handy (albeit over-used, especially by me) they don’t adequately describe the earnest folks in this week’s list. These purveyors provide products that are all that, and more. Todd Solek, the owner/baker at Farm to Hearth, said it best when I asked him what sets his bread apart. He said it had soul. And he was right.

p.s. I love Mother’s Day; mainly because I get to do whatever I want (no cooking, no cleaning, no laundry) and drag my family out for brunch (it’s a once-a-year thing due to my husband’s weird phobia of all-you-can-eat). Wishing all my mom readers a very happy one.
