When the owner of the building that housed Homeward Collective in Old Lyme decided to sell, owners Kate and Rachel made a quick pivot (during the high season, no less) to lovely new digs in Essex. I had a peek last week and easily came up with a summer shopping list: a beach caftan in white (or brown) cotton gauze at $118, this elevated boho top from Maison Hotel at $149, lightweight and drapey Pistola Jeans and a clutch of tee shirts by Perfect White Tee. The little scallop-shaped bag literally had my name on it (the style is named Erica!), and the crushable, packable sun hats are a summer essential. 

New, too, are some lovely furnishings at great prices: I loved the rolling linen dining chair, a cozy velvet swivel, and a stack of antique throw rugs. These gals are master merchandisers and managing to find brands that no one else stocks in the area (no easy task!). Now on 7 North Main Street in Essex and downtown Madison.
