Save the Duck at Tracy2
Tracy B’s second shop in Guilford, Tracy 2, is quickly establishing a loyal following for casual sportswear, that’s easy to wear but on trend. What I really loved on the last visit were these Save The Duck ultra-lightweight AND water-repellant winter coats that pack up into their own little bag. What more can you ask for, you say? Well, they save the duck, literally…these babies are not down, but PLUMTECH, a padding created “to imitate the fluffiness of down while preserving the advantages of technological thermal insulation”. Wow, that’s a mouthful. What they mean is, they are warm, lightweight and washable, all very nice features. But, what we really like besides their defense of the poor water fowl is that they’re chic, too. Long enough to cover the butt, with those handy up and down zippers, this jacket will NOT turn you into the Michelin Man. The folks at Tracy 2 are happy to special order the size or color you’d like if they happen to be out of stock.
