I avoid I95 at all costs during the summer, but when the tourists clear out, they leave Mystic and Stonington to us. I zipped over last week to see what’s new. Besides some interesting shops (read more below), the new Treehouse at the Oyster Club is a must.

You know I’m a big fan of James Wayman’s cooking (read what I had to say here), now there’s more to love! The new outdoor space is a series of decks above the restaurant dishing up Southern coastal cuisine (smoked fish, grilled oysters, barbecue) and craft cocktails with a Mystic River view. Perfect spot for a sunset drink or bite. Here’s my list.
