The Shops at the Quonset Hut

A collection of boutiques at the top of the green (right behind Ella Where She Shops)  known as the Shops at the Quonset Hut, are not to be missed for Girls’ Night Out:

Onyx

You won’t find the same-old-same-old at Onyx, a sophisticated stop on your tour of Guilford. Chris stocks the shop with a curated collection of women’s clothing from Australia and Europe, plus lots of fun accessories and jewelry to outfit you from top to toe. There were so many pieces that caught my eye, from this cozy cashmere/wool blend poncho (an easy one-size gift) to intricate velvet burn-out tops, just the thing to elevate a pair of black pants to party-ready. For gifting, rifle through the faux fur kneck wraps and one-size fits all cashmere ponchos.

BSK Design:

Barbara Shulman-Kirwin is known for her handiwork in colorful dichroic glass, a process combining the ancient technology of glass fusion with the space-age product of dichroic glass. Everything from platters to light fixtures, cabinet pulls and jewelry is crafted onsite in Barbara’s studio at Chroma. These handmade angel votives and angel ornaments would make a lovely hostess or teacher gift.     bskdesign.net

Creek Chic:

Designer Jackie McGuire crafts handmade jewelry and belt buckles from semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, and Swarovski crystals at extremely reasonable prices, but don’t stop there. Peruse the racks for easy tops, cuddly wraps, and some lovely chiffon separates (a “cold-shoulder” top and wide leg pants caught my eye) that will see you through a clutch of holiday parties.    creekchic.com
