My daughter and I have a thing for “cozy clothes.” As soon as we get through the door, we don our favorite sweats of the moment. And now, in Madison, there’s a new shop crammed with just that: fuzzy flannels, super-soft washed tees, and all manner of sweats and sweaters. Think rustic cabin on Christmas Eve in front of the fire, and you get the picture.

Owner Caden Micah just opened this sister store (literally) to Gentlemen’s Social, his men’s shop in Guilford. I know quite a few ladies who buy for themselves from his men’s selection of Faherty Brand, Marine Layer, and Rowan, and now they’ve got a shop of their own. Soul + Cedar has a unisex vibe (muted colors, plenty of plaid, cable sweaters, and quilted jackets), but almost everything here is sized for the gals (there’s a small men’s capsule, too). The accessible price range makes this a go-to for gifting, as does the sweet selection of socks, candles, leather bags, earrings, and accessories.
