Best Booties, Fall Cooking & Things To Do, 10/6/20

What a crazy week! Life has turned into a bad reality TV show. My intention is to always keep The E List a happy place, but it’s not easy these days. I was blabbing with my sister about my fear of winter, being cooped up inside, and how to get through it. She said to embrace Hygge. This Danish buzz word that crept into our popular culture about three years ago means “a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” We need Hygge now more than ever…so wrap up in layers and scarves and hang out with a few friends in front of an outdoor fire pit. Drape cozy throws on sofas and armchairs. Buy yet another jigsaw puzzle and start in. There’s nothing more Hygge than Dorie Greenspan’s recipe for Stuffed Pumpkin below. I’m even considering needlepoint, something I haven’t done in decades, and you’ll find a site for lovely ones on this list. We’ll get through this.

Love, Erica
