Emmy’s on Main for Girls’ Night Out in Essex

Emmy has been a favorite shopkeep in Essex since 2004, and she’s got it figured out. Her claim to fame is a cozy boutique filled with well-priced (and often one-size-fits-all) clothing, plenty of goods from local artisans and jewelers, and a healthy helping of great gift items. Quite a few things caught my eye, like this one-size-fits-all knit cardigan that is precisely that hard-to-find item to throw over your party dress at an easy $45. I love the idea of plaid all over, and you can achieve the look with a trio of matching scarf, clutch, and glove (several color options are available). Stocking stuffers are covered with baskets of cushy socks and hand-knit headbands. Printed and reversible viscose pashminas would be a welcome hostess gift at only $35. That girlfriend or auntie that’s crazy for animals? Maybe one of these hilarious cell phone cross-bodies will do the trick (and a percentage of the profits go to Heart & Home Animal Rescue Foundation).
