Foot Facial at Blissful Beauty, Deep River

We’ve all heard the horror stories of traditional pedicures gone bad but who doesn’t like spiffy, pretty toes and soft feet? I’ve spent so much time overthinking the bacteria that collects in the jets and the chemicals in the products used that I have just simply taken my feet into my own hands. Until I discovered Blissful Beauty. Conveniently located just to the right of Adam’s Supermarket, owner and lead esthetician, Jessica takes an innovative approach by offering a deluxe, waterless pedicure and she adds a whole lot of perks while she’s at it.

The treatment takes an hour so be ready to commit. It’s worth every minute. Here’s how the Foot Facial works. Jessica (or one of her experts on staff) sets you up in a treatment room with an option to recline or sit up on the comfy facial bed. Hands go in heated mitts and a lightly weighted warm neck pillow is applied.  She uses detoxifying black charcoal products including a purifying scrub to remove dead skin, a nourishing mask and an emollient cream. In between, she’ll work on your calluses and clean up the nail beds. She uses steam, warm stones, and hot towels throughout and the result is totally relaxing and super hygienic. She tops it off with an immaculate paint job. Quite frankly, I’m still waiting for my toes to lose their luster so I can get my next Foot Facial on the books.
