On the hunt for a console, sideboard, bookcase, coffee, end, or dining table? Head to Tessa Samuelson’s new shop in Madison. A self-taught woodworker, Tessa’s pieces feature clean, modern lines and can be customized to your exact specifications.

Working in a variety of woods (which determine the price point), you’ll find a full inventory of handmade furniture, plus a selection of ceramics, vintage books, and decor that bring the space to life. Check out the children’s room in the back, decked out with adorable tot-sized tables, chairs, toy storage units, and sweet gifts.

I’ve been on the lookout for a simple pine bench, and voila! There it was, but I’ll have Tessa make mine in the exact size I need. The prices are incredibly reasonable (the pine bench was $75!), depending on the materials used.
