Happy Hour at The Essex, Old Saybrook
You probably already know how much I love a Happy Hour. Nothing like having snacks and drinks with your girlfriends and still getting home in time for a movie! A new favorite is the offering at The Essex. From 4 – 6 pm, indulge in Wagyu hamburgers and Snake River Farm hot dogs with imaginative toppings (mushroom, tuna, and fried chicken “burgers” are also available) with a salad or their incredibly crispy, salty, yummy fries (yes, go for the fries) and a glass of wine for $25.
The vibe here is fun and lively, drinks are on point, and I’ve always said that owner and award-winning chef Colt Taylor, though known for fancy French-inspired cuisine, makes a mean burger. E List secret? It’s not on the menu but ask for the poutine: those crazy fries smothered in gravy and cheddar cheese. Worth it.
Head over Tuesday through Thursday from 4 – 6 pm.
