It was our 30th anniversary and I had big plans. Europe? An overnight on the Orient Express? Seemed like we made it this far, we should do something extravagant to celebrate. But then my rotator cuff surgery got in the way, and even though I was five weeks post op, I just didn’t feel like traveling far from home. I’d always heard great things about the White Hart Inn in Salisbury, and the Litchfield Hills make for a scenic country drive. So off we went.
