Vitamin C Brightening Facial at Wild Honey, Chester
My skin has certainly seen its share of sunshine over the decades. I’ve often heard rumblings that Vitamin C is helpful for sun damage so when I found the Vitamin C Brightening Facial on Wild Honey’s menu of services, I gave it a go. After all, any treatment that claims to help “reverse premature aging” is alright by me.
After oohing and ahhing over the honey inspired lip scrubs, bath balms and scented candles and fawning over the fresh-faced interior at Wild Honey, I made my way to the very able, experienced hands of Kim, my esthetician. I tucked into an ultra-cozy, heated bed, while she had a good look at my skin and then got down to business. She walked me through her steps while explaining the products she used. The Chamomile Cleansing Milk and Cherry Enzyme Peel involved intoxicating natural scents. There was Vitamin C serum for wrinkle repair, a little steam, and heated mitts. It was easy to get lost in the firm massage (decollete, fingers, shoulders, hands) and just when I thought it was over, my feet were indulged in their own special treatment. When it came time for the hand-held ultrasonic device, she explained that micro-current works in two different modes – one for exfoliation and one for penetration for creams and serums. Both methods were painless seemed to help do the trick. The entire treatment lasted 75 minutes and the results were clear. I looked less dry and tired and more, well, bright! I left Wild Honey feeling like I’d had the royal treatment. $125 for 75 minutes.
