Heidi Kunzli, owner of Privé Swiss, is a force. Not only does she head up the most luxurious wellness and fitness studios on the Shoreline, but she is also the innovator behind an immersive, holistic program for burned-out executives, movie stars, and those of us reeling from the pandemic.

While many of us have sweated through the excellent pilates, barre, band, bootcamp, and yoga classes on offer at her airy studio in Westbrook, we’ll never know who visits for the in-house retreats. Kunzli bought the 1880’s Congregational church and has revamped it into the headquarters for her burgeoning biz. It’s a glorious (and years long) reno of the historic building. The massive vaulted chapel, complete with original stained glass, serves as a fitness/yoga room and gathering space. You’ll also find infrared saunas and private suites for various therapies, including facials, massage, art therapy, and more. There are plenty of cozy areas to curl up and enjoy the view of the river or find your zen walking the riverside labyrinth.
